Fun fact about Miss World

According to an article in the Telegraph, the Miss World beauty pageant has decided to cancel the “bikini round.” of the pageant.

This is the part in which the contestant walk up and down the stage in swimwear. It has been a major element of the contest and was part of it for 63 years.

The reasoning behind it is that the management wants to put more emphasis on the intellectual capacities of the contest than the outward appearance. They also claim it doesn’t add any value and portrays women the wrong way.
